The shift from a seated meal to the best part of the evening.

There is a lovely moment when the plates are cleared but the evening has not quite decided what it is. Leave it a little room.

On repeat: Folamour at FLY Open Air

Save this Boiler Room set for a more energetic second chapter. Listen ahead to see whether it suits your company; a live festival set has a different intensity from background dinner music. This is a DOMA listening suggestion, not an official partnership.

Change one thing in the room

Clear the serving dishes, bring water to the seating area, and turn one lamp on nearby. You do not need to rearrange the whole room. Give people an obvious place to land.

Let the volume follow the company

Turn it up only if the room wants that. Keep neighbors and the hour in mind. If people are deep in conversation, leave them there. A good host does not need every evening to end on the same note.

Keep the next morning easy

Put leftovers away and leave a clear path through the room before settling back in. The washing-up can wait; a room everyone can move through comfortably cannot.
