There’s more than one way to do Aspen.

Art, a good coffee, and a fireside table. A mountain-town shortlist with room beyond the slopes.
Aspen does not need to be a full-day performance. Our starting point: one cultural stop, something warm to drink, and a table to settle into afterward.
The art stop: Aspen Art Museum
Contemporary art, an interesting building, and free admission make this an easy anchor for the day. Check what is on before visiting. If you are arriving from the slopes, bring regular shoes: ski boots are not allowed in the museum.
The coffee: Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar
The coffee bar on East Hyman Avenue is a different address from the Aspen restaurant. Save the right one for an espresso-and-pastry pause between plans.
The long finish: Element 47
At The Little Nell, seasonal Colorado cooking and house-made pasta make dinner an option. The adjoining Living Room offers a fireside setting and the bar menu for a less formal stop. Reserve for a meal you are building the evening around.
The DOMA way
Let the season decide the rest. Pack a layer that works indoors, leave a proper gap before dinner, and choose one plan everybody is excited about. The best part of a group trip is rarely how much you fit in.
A DOMA place note, researched from the venues’ official sites in October 2026. Check current hours, seasonal openings, access, and reservations before making plans. These are independent recommendations, not DOMA events or membership benefits.
