A little less itinerary. A little more out east.

Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton
Topping Rose House

The Hamptons, at an unhurried pace: a considered stay, an art stop, and something good to take home.

Our kind of weekend has one good reservation and enough room around it to notice where you are. Start with Bridgehampton and Water Mill; save the other end of the Hamptons for another day.

The stay: Topping Rose House

A restored 19th-century house with contemporary rooms makes a good starting point for a design-minded weekend. If an overnight stay is more than you need, look at the Jean-Georges restaurant as a separate plan.

The art stop: Parrish Art Museum

Make time for a proper look around the Water Mill museum. There is also a café and shop; museum admission is not required for those two spaces. A useful option when you have a little time rather than a whole afternoon.

The take-home: Round Swamp Farm

Pick up prepared food or produce for a supper that does not become a project. Choose the market nearest your plans—East Hampton, Bridgehampton, or Montauk—and check its seasonal opening schedule.

The DOMA way

Keep one afternoon completely unscheduled. Bring a sweater, an empty tote, and a book you actually want to read. Plan around one area so the day happens outside the car.

Pass this on with: “One art stop, one long lunch. Want to make a weekend of it?”

A DOMA place note, researched from the venues’ official sites in October 2026. Check current hours, seasonal openings, access, and reservations before making plans. These are independent recommendations, not DOMA events or membership benefits.
